Happiness in Life: Before coming to the topic, let’s say that happiness is strength. Let’s come across some exciting concepts: spirituality and religion. These words are often used interchangeably, but the two concepts are different. Some authors contend that spirituality involves a personal quest for meaning in life, while religion involves an organised entity with rituals and practices focusing on a higher power or God.
Now, coming to spirituality, spirituality is a broad concept with room for many perspectives. In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than us and typically involves a search for meaning in life. As such, it is a universal human experience that touches us all.
Spirituality is the journey to an inner power. On a spiritual journey, one of the things that helps one move forward is to ask questions of oneself. In the Eastern spiritual tradition, spirituality is about consciousness.

But,
Happiness is very powerful too
Happiness is referred to as a good state of mind and body. The most powerful emotion is love, which ultimately makes us happy. People often smile, sing, and dance when they are so glad. The perspective of happiness is different for everyone in this world. We must try to find and note the things that can make us happy. It is presumed that happiness lies in doing big things.
Many think earning a lot of money and holding an excellent position is necessary for achieving happiness. Success brings joy, but that does not mean it is the only way to be happy.
In reality, happiness lies in enjoying the small things in our lives. The happiness we get from doing these things is a beautiful experience. I feel happy when I help my mother with her kitchen work, water the plants, eat my favourite dish, walk, listen to music, play with pets, spend time with family, gossip with friends, etc. We must find ways to get happy instead of waiting for it to come.
Happiness lies in accepting the truth of our lives and living it gracefully by enjoying every moment. We are also enriched with positive thoughts when we are happy. It is the most beautiful feeling in the universe.
Learn to meditate
Meditation is so compelling because, in meditation, I stop ‘reacting’ to things I hear or see and begin to create the thoughts I want. Then, gradually, I begin to make my life exactly how I want it to be.
Be simple in life; there is beauty in simplicity. Simplicity is the key to brilliance, which reveals reality.
In your own life, increased simplicity would have the following effects:
- Life no longer looks so complicated.
- Purpose and meaning replace random chance.
- Conflicted inner emotions are resolved.
- Problems move closer to solutions.
- Everyday life becomes less of a struggle.
- You develop a clear view of who you are and why you are here
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. And it is the ultimate key to happiness. Simplicity leads to experiencing more joy, happiness, and fulfilment. Simplicity can help you feel in control of your life.
